Purposes of Zomi Communities Organization
To maintain and strengthen our distinct political, legal, economic and social institutions while maintaining and practicing of our cultural traditions and customs in civilized manner, so that we, the people of overseas Zomi being emigrated from our inherited land of Zogam (the State of Zomi) which is divided into Burma, India and Bangladesh who are now scattered and taken refuge around the world, would be collectively recognized and firmly constituted as one of the distinct ethnic peoples (groups) in the world.
To determine, advance and institute through collaboration among ourselves on overall matters of the overseas Zomi communities.
To take measure and work together for the development and prosperity of Zogam (the State of Zomi) and the land of the people of Zomi, and for the improvement of our daily life style, social welfare and the civilization.
To determine, advance and institute in solidarity on overall ethnic and national issues of the people of Zomi and its international concerned, in consultation and cooperation with the whole society of the Zomi people around the world.
